Qualifications for this position:*Successful high school completion or the equivalent in post secondary education and experience *Certification of qualification as a journeyman carpenter *Multi-trade certification is an asset *Five years experience in carpentry *Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License *Physical and mechanical aptitude to perform a range of maintenance manual tasks *Demonstrated oral and written communication and organizational skills *Ability and dexterity in the use of various manual power tools *Ability to work in a team environmnet *Effective interpersonal skills *Ability to work with minimum supervision
Essential Qualifications:4th Year Apprentice with maintenance experience.
Desirable Qualifications:Current certification in range of Construction Safety Courses such as Fall Arrest, Scaffolding, Personal Lift Devices, Confined Spaces, Lock Out-Tag Out
Other Skills or Courses Required:Current certification for WHIMS and First Aid
